Ayshia Jaeger, Special Education Consultant
Ms. Jaeger earned her undergraduate degree in Government and World Affairs from the University of Tampa and her graduate degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. She has been working in education since 2022, serving as a paraprofessional, family advocate, and special education teacher. She is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs, building strong relationships with families, and helping every student feel valued, supported, and capable of success. Ms. Jaeger is excited to continue growing as an educator while in the position of Special Education Consultant and contributing to our school community.

Mr. McSwain– Diverse Learner Teacher
Mr. McSwain is a Diverse Learner teacher with over 20 years of experience in education. A Bridgeport native and graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Mr. McSwain holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies and a Master’s degree in Communication from Sacred Heart University. He is currently completing his Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education and is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students, maintaining high expectations, advocating for students, and supporting literacy. As a proud father of a college student at Temple University, Mr. McSwain brings both professional experience and a personal commitment to helping young people grow into confident, independent individuals.
Ms. Humbert– Diverse Learner Teacher

Ms. Lublin– Diverse Learner Teacher
A Connecticut resident since 2008, Kadi Lublin holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from New York University, and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Teaching-Special Education through Western Governors University. Beyond the classroom, Kadi serves on the Advisory Council for ReadWorks, a leading national EdTech nonprofit, and as Secretary of the Board of Education in Darien.
Dr. Williams– Diverse Learners Teacher
Dr. Porsha Williams is a High School Diverse Learners Teacher and 2026 Teach for America Corps member. She is a graduate of Spelman College, Yale Divinity School, and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Before coming to Great Oaks, Dr. Williams has served as an ordained minister, professor, and consultant.
Ms. Katherine Sabo- Director of MLL Services, ELAC, High School MLL Teacher
After graduating from the University of Connecticut in 2020, Ms. Sabo joined the Great Oaks family as a 9th grade AmeriCorps fellow. After her year of service, she began her role as an MLL teacher and enrolled in the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) M.A. program at Fairfield University. Today, she serves as a high school MLL teacher and the English Language Assessment Coordinator (ELAC). She is fluent in Spanish and English.

Ms. Monica Cano- Middle School MLL Teacher
Ms. Cano graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. In 2020, she joined the AmeriCorps program at Great Oaks, serving for two years as the 7th grade humanities fellow, and later, the 7th grade fellow lead. Ms. Cano is in her second year as a middle school MLL teacher and is enrolled in the TESOL M.A Program at Fairfield University. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Mr. Paul Morin- Middle School MLL Teacher
Mr. Morin graduated from Roger Williams University in 2019. In 2020, he joined the AmeriCorps program at Great Oaks, serving for one year as a 9th grade STEM fellow. After his year of service, he began his role as an MLL teacher and enrolled in the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) M.A. program at Fairfield University. Mr. Morin is in his fourth year as a middle school MLL teacher and he is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
Ms. Rosalia Flores – High School MLL Teacher
Ms. Flores graduated from Augustana College in 2020. During her two years of service at GOC, she was a 9th grade AmeriCorps fellow and then later became the 10th grade AmeriCorps fellow lead. Currently, Ms. Flores is in her 2nd year of teaching as a high school MLL teacher and is enrolled at Fairfield University in the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) M.A. program. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Ms. Julia May – High School MLL Teacher
Ms. May graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2023. She served for two years in the Americorp program at GO before transitioning to a High School MLL teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. She completed her M.A. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Others Languages) at Fairfield University in 2026. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Tenssie V. Ramsay, Licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut for the past 7 years. Tenssie provides telehealth and in-person counseling services for our behavioral health population from her private practice, CareWings Counseling LLC., located in the downtown area of Bridgeport, CT. Tenssie has a B.S. in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Bridgeport.
Bea is a recently retired teacher of the Fairfield Public School System, having taught for 25 years at North Stratfield Elementary School, and 15 years at Fairfield Woods Middle School. In addition to classroom responsibilities, she has been a Teacher of the Gifted, Math Resource teacher and Dean of Students. Bea holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Psychology from Assumption College, a Master’s Degree in Reading from The University of Bridgeport, a 6th Year Degree in Administration and Supervision, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Curriculum Design, both from Fairfield University.
Bob Carlson is a Bridgeport native and graduate of its schools. He’s owned and/or led construction, manufacturing, and development companies. Bob graduated Fairfield Prep & Lehigh University, included studies toward MBA and Law.

Dr. Matthew Nwosu, MD is an obstetrician gynecologist in Trumbull, CT and has over 15 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Nwosu earned his Medical Degree at Michigan State College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, MI. He then completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in 2013. Dr. Nwosu has a special interest in laparoscopy, and has training on the Da Vinci Surgical System.
